Privacy Policy

What We Collect

• Account information: Your name and email address, provided via Google Sign-In.
• Child profile data: The name, age, interests, and optionally a photo of the child the book is about. This is provided by you (the parent or guardian) and used solely to personalize the story and illustrations.
• Book content: The stories and illustrations we generate for you, stored so you can access and edit them.
• Order information: Shipping name and address for printed books.

What We Do Not Collect

• Payment card data: All payments are processed by Stripe. BookBuilder never sees or stores your card number, expiration date, or CVV.

How We Use Your Data

• To generate and personalize your child's book
• To process and fulfill your order
• To send order status updates (email and optional SMS)
• To improve our service

We never sell, share, or rent your data to third parties. Child profile data and photos are never used to train AI models.

Data Storage

Your data is stored on Supabase, a US-based managed database platform. Photos are stored in Supabase Storage. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit.

Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics to understand how people use BookBuilder. This collects anonymous page view data — no personally identifiable information is included.

Your Rights

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data (including all child profiles, photos, and generated books) at any time by emailing support@bookbuilder.press. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

BookBuilder is designed for parents and guardians, not children. See our Children's Privacy Notice for details on how we handle child data in compliance with COPPA.
